        Samyang 8mm f/3.5 Fisheye

        - by Lens Reviewer

Today, I will review on fisheye lens, Samyang 8mm f/3.5 Fisheye. I will be using Canon 5D Mark III which is a dslr with full frame sensor to test the lens. Canon 5D Mark III is a full frame camera and the image quality is considered among the highest in Canon DSLR.

        Compatibility of this Lens

This lens is compatible with all canon dslr camera that have EF-S or EF mount. For the new mirrorless camera, it can be fitted into the camera with EF-M Mount with all the focasing and electronic data be connected. However, if you plan to use this lens on other camera, you can buy a converter which is usually made in China and comes in a very low price but I not very sure about the quality because you can't focus and even transfer the electronic data from the lens to the camera. So, I do not recommend to use this lens on other camera system. On the new camera, the lens correction of this lens is available in Canon 6D, 5D Mark III, 1DX and 7D Mark II. However, this lens is built for APS-C DSLR. Hence, if you use a full frame dslr, you will see the built-in lens hood visible in the image.
