Pricey but solid upgrade over the usual RM30-70 Neewer/other OEM booms. Is it 5x better? No. But if you have a quality microphone that you use on a regular basis, the reliability and ease of use is what you are paying for. What ease of use? Easy position adjustment without having to loosen/tighten any wingnuts/screws, and for mics within the specified load rating, no sagging or drooping on its own (Something the cheaper booms have had issues with - drooping over time, or extreme tightening of the joint clamps to hold position). In short, it gets out of your way when you're using it for its intended purpose: holding a mic in a specific position, and that alone makes it worth the investment.
